i don't know if you need a gmail account - i don't have one - or do you mean google account - i might be able to change the settings so that people can leave comments without having a google account
at the moment, the only people who are able to publish 'posts' are you and the 2 Nic(k)s - now that you're in the site, do you have full access to everything? are you also able to change settings and invite others to become co-authors?
